Spicy opening to this impressive wine. Dark fruits with blackberry and cherry plus some dark chocolate and savoury plum, all with a sprinkle of black pepper. The palate is precisely balanced with excellent oak integration supporting the fine tannins and smooth intense fruit. Excellent wine of class – 92 points.
2009 MANTRA CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Ray Jordan – Top 100 Reds 2012
This is such a young cabernet yet the breeding and quality is clearly apparent from the time you start on the bouquet. Lifted perfumed scents of blackcurrant and violets with a little cedary oak influence. The palate is remarkably seamless and finely balanced with the oak, fruit and tannin striking an impeccably refined balance. Excellent – 93 Points.

Bright green-quartz; a gloriously vibrant and juicy palate, white peach, nectarine, citrus and mineral wrapped around each other, oak a vehicle for the triumphant expression of fruit – 95 Points.
2009 MANTRA ‘MUSE’ CABERNET SAUVIGNON

A powerful, structured, full-bodied cabernet with loads of potential. Dark colour; chocolate and vanilla aromas with a hint of tomato. Some stemmy cabernet characters. Herbs, spice, vanilla and dark berries in the mouth, with grip and density – 93 Points.
