…is a bit more serious, spending some 10 months in one French oak with around 20 per cent whole bunches in the ferment. It’s choc-berry scented, shows some lifted herbal notes and feels slick and slippery ton taste. There’s some good concentration and layered complexity.

There’s an obvious Spanish and Italian influence here with these two varieties combining to produce a classically styled, medium bodied, food-friendly wine. A wild and exotic mix of herbs and spices with a distinctive peppermint character. The palate carries fine tannins and understated oak with a light cherry and red berry character.
